Design of Youth Activities
How it Relates to the Purpose
Mission
Ministry - Service activities in our church and communities
Evangelism – Showing Gods love & sharing the Word when the opportunity arises
Examples - Open Hand (monthly), putting up and taking down of the green, running church service, helping at church events, food collections, Operation Christmas Child, etc.
Education
Discipleship – Sunday School, bible and book studies, and conferences
Examples - More than a Carpenter, Revolve Tour, & Guest speakers
Outdoor
Worship – Adoring God’s creation
Communion – Spending time out doors with fellow believers
Evangelism – To offer the opportunity to reach non-believers
Examples – Hiking, back packing, camping, rock climbing, river rafting, etc.
Play
Communion – Strengthening relationships with others
Evangelism – To offer the opportunity to reach non-believers
Examples - Combined activities with other youth groups, parties, game nights, stomps, bowling, laser tag, mini golf, ice skating, skiing/snowboarding, etc.
Any parents who would like to volunteer to drive or provide snacks for any of these events
